Dear Patti Smith
Melbourne, Australia
8 April – 14 May 2015

Eye Collective: Trudy Moore, Melanie Jayne Taylor and Stephanie Wilson

Through the deliberate collaborative arrangement of their works the artists are using painting, photography, sculpture and installation as way of questioning the modern urban environment; deeming how the physical public spaces in which we interact daily might also exist as shared psychological and emotional spaces.

The structures, spaces and objects represented in these works invite the viewer to consider him or herself as a visitor to the memory of an assembled space – where what one sees are representations of built interiors and manicured exteriors that offer but the eerie suggestion of human interaction while simultaneously evoking a sense of absence, emptiness and transition.
