I will spend the last month of the Melbourne winter, working in the loft studio at Box Hill Community Arts centre. My desk faces the window, which looks out over the Box Hill Community Gardens – such an inspiring space.

Here, I will be developing the photographic portrait series, Gardener Archive, which depicts gardeners standing within their gardens. The photographs aim to capture that very intimate relationship between gardener and garden, which is physical and psychological. This series was initiated while I was on a residency at La Maison Verte in Marnay-Sur-Seine, in France and over time it will become an inventory of different garden spaces and styles specific to various locations around the world.
